Darren and his wife Lara have been in the ministry for many years. They met and earned their Bachelor’s degrees at San Diego State University. Darren earned a degree in Business/Finance while Lara earned a degree International Commerce. God called them after graduation to serve as campus ministers with Campus Crusade for Christ for 5 ½ years in California and Missouri. Then God called Darren to the pastorate. Darren received a Master of Divinity from Trinity Western University in British Columbia Canada. He served as associate pastor at Lethbridge EFC and Senior pastor at Orchard EFC. The Lord called Darren and his family to start a church in Loveland back in 2007.
Darren & Lara have 3 daughters who help serve in the church.
Darren enjoys sports, golf, reading and his family.

Children & family ministries:
As our name represents, we want to leave something of eternal value. We want to leave something that is more important than anything in this world. We want to help people to leave a Legacy of faith, hope and love for our future generations. As a parent, I have a passion of leaving them something of extreme value; a faith in Jesus Christ. Thus, family and children’s ministry is very very important to the ministry of our church.
Our overall strategy of leaving a lasting Legacy to the future generations is two fold. First, we want to train adults (parents; grandparents; family members and friends) to know what they believe and why they believe it. In other words, we want to develop adults to know and understand their faith in the Biblical God. For example, I have leadership development seminars for men to help lead their families with excellence. I believe that parents and family members are the most influential over the future generations. If they live out what they believe, then they can pass on their faith hope and love to the future generations.
Secondly, we want to have excellent children and youth ministries to help supplement what is taking place at home. Currently, we have a small group for the youth, and children’s church for infant-5th grade during our worship service. Our philosophy with children’s church is that we want our kids to sing with their families during our music portion of our service and then dismiss our kids after the singing. They will have a fun study during children’s church.
Our overall desire is for families to be together as much as possible during Sunday morning worship service. We prefer kids to stay with their families for the whole service; however, we know that is sometimes asking too much, and thus we have children's church for children 0-5th grade during the service. But the emphasis is that our families enjoy their time together worshipping the Lord.
We desperately want to empower and encourage young families to be what God wants them to be. Our future dream would to have a Wednesday night children’s and youth program as well. We hope this will take place soon.
Youth Ministry:
Our focus with our Jr High & High School ministry is train them in Christ, Character & Community. There are various ways to help our young adults to develop in these areas of life. We currently have a girls High School study that meet once a month. Also, we have a mixed boys and girls time that meet once a month as well. Our goal is to have these young adults meet once a week to grow in these areas.
